Allen Scott

I'm Allen Scott. I'm running for the Board of Trustees.

I was born in Indiana and grew up in Battle Creek Michigan. Graduated from Prudue University with BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering. Served 2 years in the Peace Corps in Sierra Leone in west africa where I tought shop and math in a large secondary school. I've spent most of my working years designing consumer products. I'm confident that most of you have used some of my products during your life. Worked as as design engineer and engineering manager for several companies including GE, Bissell and American Water Heater picking up a dozen patents along the way. Twenty five of those years were at GE where I held positions of Design Engineer, Unit Manager and Project Manager.
My wife Sharon and I have been living in Holiday Park for 11 years. I'm running for Trustee because I want to see more done to improve the facilities in the park. This is a great place to live but it has the potential to be much better. We can build more Bocci ball courts so all the players can play. We can build a "pitch and Putt" area with an artificial putting green and a few sand traps and pitching pads to allow our golfers to enjoy golf here. We could put in a hot tub at one of the pools that we can use to sooth our sore mussles. These projects do not require large investments to complete but they will improve the quality of life for many people.
This is only a few of the things that we can do to make living in Holiday Park even better than it is today. The other benefit will be to make Holiday Park more competative with the other parks in the area from a new resident point of view. Our property values will go up as a result. It will more than make up for our quality of live investments that we will have made.
