The Director of Voter and Vote-by-Mail Services is responsible for the management of the Voter Services and Vote-by-Mail departments for the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections (SOE). This position supervises the voter services and vote-by-mail coordinators and reports directly to the supervisor of elections. The primary focus of the position is customer service, voter registration, voter record maintenance and general work flow management and efficiency.

Position:                    Communications and Voter Outreach Manager

Department:                Voter Outreach and Public Information

Status:                         Full Time

 

The Communications and Voter Outreach Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing voter registration drives, community presentations, and other opportunities to promote voter education and engage voters in the election process.  The position assists with the overall communications and outreach efforts for the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections (SOE) utilizing a wide variety of print, web, and social media platforms.

Position:                    Deputy Registrar – Warehouse

Department:                Information Technology & Technical Services

Status:                         Part to full-time, temporary

 

The Supervisor of Elections is hiring individuals to work in our Voting Equipment Facility (VEF) for the 2018 election year.  The work environment will be mostly in a warehouse setting and physical demands include working on your feet, ability to drive and deliver in a work  truck or van, or personal vehicle (with mileage reimbursement), pushing and pulling equipment, occasional lifting of less than 45 pounds.  Basic technical/computer skills are required for preparation and testing of electronic equipment.  Traditional work hours with some months off between elections; some nights/weekends prior to/during and following an election are required. 

Rate of pay is $12/hour. Closing date: 10/27/17
