Dear fellow Citizens,
I am a homeowner, taxpayer and small business owner. I have been with the one and only love of my life for 20 years, and we’re celebrating our eighteenth wedding anniversary this year. At age 45, I am close to the average age of our population yet I’m not far away from being part of the senior generation. I consider myself an ordinary citizen and have been actively involved in the community since moving to North Port in 2006. Being a small business owner for 19 years, I had never thought about running for public office. Today my passion for North Port is the reason I am running to serve as your representative. I have 28 years of experience in the areas of Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Consulting, Public Speaking, Pet Care Services and Transportation. My entrepreneurial path began in 1991 and still today my husband and I own and operate UFP Inc., a promotional products and marketing consulting business.
One of my most renowned accomplishments in North Port was facilitating a grand 50th Anniversary Celebration for the Community. My company was hired in late 2008 to help the City’s 50th committee bring to life their phenomenal events and activities through June of 2009. As the Project Manager, I applied my skills, talents, years of experience and passion for the community to bring the celebrations to life. Despite all obsticles I was able to raise funds needed for all the events, engaged businesses and citizens from near and far, brought the world famous Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales to participate in North Port's 50th Anniversary Parade and I effectively saved taxpayers thousands of dollars traditionally spent by other communities for a celebration of that caliber.
To accomplish North Port's successful 50th Anniversary Celebration, I literally walked many streets of North Port talking to businesses and residents. That experience enabled me to listen to input from those that live, work, enjoy and invest in our community. I immediately recognized that I could relate to what fellow citizens expressed about North Port, including the struggles, challenges and exhilarating attributes. My passion for North Port further evolved into dedication and commitment to continue utilizing my skills, talents and ingenuity to help ALL of North Port continue to grow and prosper, through the opportunity to serve as a City Commissioner.
Since moving to North Port, I have become involved as a volunteer in numerouse civic organizations. I also frequently attend Commission meetings and various Citizen Advisory Board meetings many times speaking out to express consideration of the impact on the entire community when spending public funds on items other than public safety, security, roads and utilities.

You will also find updates and announcements for many events and activities I will be conducting to provide the opportunity for us to get to know each other and discuss the challenges and solutions for moving our community in a positive direction for today and tomorrow.
Together, we the people can make a difference in strethening our foundation and maintaining a culture that affords the prosperity of current citizens and taxpayers as well as our future generations!
