Reminder: There is still time to request a vote-by-mal ballot for March 12 elections in Longboat Key and Holiday Park

SARASOTA, FL - Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner is reminding voters that there is still time to request a vote-by-mail ballot for the March 12 elections, which include the Town of Longboat Key general and the Holiday Park Park and Recreation District elections.

To request a vote-by-mail ballot, a voter may call 941.861.8618. Voters may also go to to submit an online request for a ballot and to track their vote-by-mail ballots from the time the request is processed until the voted ballot is received back in the elections office.

Turner also urges voters to read and follow the instructions included with vote-by-mail ballots to ensure their ballots are counted. Voters should complete and sign the certificate on the ballot return envelope and the voter’s signature should match the signature on record.

Voters are also reminded to mark and return their ballots promptly to avoid postal delays. To be counted, voted ballots must reach the elections office no later than 7 p.m. on election night. A Forever stamp or $.55 postage is required to return a vote-by-mail ballot by mail.
