Reminder: Deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot for March 17 presidential preference primary is approaching

 
SARASOTA, FL - Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner is reminding voters, who would like to vote by mail in the March 17 presidential preference primary, Holiday Park Park and Recreation District election or Longboat Key bond referendum that 5 p.m., Saturday, March 7, is the deadline to request vote-by-mail ballots be mailed to them.

To request a vote-by-mail ballot, a voter may call 941.861.8618 or submit an online request at SarasotaVotes.com/VotebyMail .

Voted ballots may be returned by mail or in person, but must be received by the elections office by 7 p.m. on election night, Tuesday, March 17.

Turner also urges voters to read and follow the instructions included with vote-by-mail ballots to ensure their ballots are counted. Voters should complete and sign the ballot certificate envelope and the voter’s signature should match the signature on record.

Voters may track their vote-by-mail ballots at SarasotaVotes.com from the time their requests are processed until the voted ballots are received by the elections office. Just click on the “Vote by Mail” icon on the home page, select “Track your Vote-by-Mail Ballot,” and follow the easy instructions.
